Essential IT Support
- Triage support calls, providing Tier 1 help desk support of onsite and remote staff
- Perform support and troubleshooting for users with mobile devices such as Apple iPhone and iPad, Android users etc
- Manage access control to data and computer systems
- Perform installations, maintenance and repair work on computer systems and software
- Take part in organizational wide projects (system upgrades, security rollouts, implementations)
- Perform software evaluations and integrate into workflows
- Setup and deploy workstations using an MDM
- Configure and maintain mobile device management (MDM) solutions, including enrollment profiles and application deployment
- Deploy and manage data storage solutions
- Deploy and manage data management systems
- Take ownership on the maintenance of key systems under the direction of the IT Manager and/or Managing Director
- Perform regular network configuration and administration
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and system documentation
- Perform IT change control planning, execution and documentation
- Provide maintenance of key systems on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly plan such as patching and upgrading
- Maintain accuracy of IT asset management system
- Manage work requests via Jira ticketing system and create documentation for support processes and workflow
- Contribute to IT initiatives and projects
- Generate reports and analyze data on endpoint health, compliance, and security posture to identify trends and potential issues
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience with Google Workspace or Office 365
- Experience with endpoint management
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with computer operating systems
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), DNS, and operating systems)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Travel by car in the Bay Area
- Routinely sitting for extended periods of time
- Travel by air to other cities (15-25%)
- Constantly operating a computer, printer, telephone and other similar office machinery
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in system and OS administration or a similar role, with a focus on managing Linux, Windows, and macOS environments
- Tech Stack: Ability to use MacOS, Windows, and Linux with command-line administration and configuration. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Zabbix, and Zoom is preferred. Juniper EX switches, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Meraki network switches, Meraki MX firewalls, Mist access points, Meraki access points, UniFi security gateways, UniFi switches, and UniFi access points.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as CWNP, CompTIA Network+, and Security+, or equivalent are desired
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Extraordinary IT support to customers and ensure an overall high level of customer satisfaction. High level customer support with a focus on ownership and follow-through with every interaction
- Travel: Travel to client sites, including out-of-state travel, as required to conduct surveys, deploy network and computer systems, or integration of IT infrastructure
